"Al-Qaeda's Sahel branch has imposed a partial blockade on routes into Bamako, Mali, since late April. The blockade has led to the burning of transport vehicles, fuel shortages, and a sharp rise in livestock prices. Residents are unable to travel to their home villages for the Tabaski (Eid) holiday due to security risks."
