"Thailand has appointed international conciliators for a UN arbitration process initiated by Cambodia. The dispute concerns a 26,000 sq km area in the Gulf of Thailand with significant oil and gas reserves. Tensions remain following border clashes last year that resulted in nearly 150 deaths."
