"A cyberattack on Unimed, a billing service provider, compromised sensitive patient data at numerous German university hospitals. Data of tens of thousands of private patients and self-payers were stolen, including names, addresses, and some medical/financial information. Unimed claims the attack occurred in mid-April 2026 and that systems are now secured."
