"The turquoise dwarf gecko (Lygodactylus williamsi) population has recovered to pre-collection levels. International trade was banned in 2017 after the species was listed as critically endangered. Community-led reforestation and the removal of invasive Spanish cedar trees have restored the gecko's habitat."
