"Uber has filed a lawsuit against New York City to block a new law (Local Law 52) that restricts the deactivation of drivers. The company argues the law violates constitutional rights and forces them to retain drivers who violate safety standards. The law, effective July 28, requires companies to provide 14 days' notice before deactivation and allows for government investigations."
