"The Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) issued formal warnings to 10 reporting entities, including six Auckland law firms. The warnings were issued for failing to conduct independent audits of their AML/CFT programs on at least two occasions. The government plans to introduce legislation to increase penalties for serious non-compliance."
