"The UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) helped develop the non-mandatory International Code of Safety for Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS Code). The code, to be published by the IMO on July 1, establishes a global regulatory framework for uncrewed cargo ships. A mandatory MASS Code is slated for adoption in 2030, with entry into force on January 1, 2032."
