"A 27 kW solar PV system combined with hydrogen fuel cells is being developed at the Professor Julio Escudero Scientific Base. The project is supported by the EU and Germany to reduce fossil fuel reliance in Antarctica. The system includes electrolyzers for on-site hydrogen production and PEM fuel cells for backup power."
